West Wales Windsurfing and Sailing Centre :
Since its inception over 10 years ago, the centre has become synonymous with high standards of tuition for all levels of ability. Originally a top international surfer, centre director Peter Bounds is an R.Y.A. Windsurfing Trainer and level 5 instructor who has assisted in setting up the R.Y.A. training scheme in its current form. Still personally involved in many of the courses he also helps to train (and is a member of) the Welsh National Windsurfing Squad.
Dale has become well known as one of the classsic windsurfing venues due to a wide range of sailing conditions along a small stretch of coastline. Sheltered from the open Atlantic by a headland at the entrance to the Milford Haven Waterway the mile wide bay gives a large expanse of flat shallow water at low tide with no strong tidal currents, ideal for learning basic skills and building up confidence in sheltered safety. The area is statistically very windy. 70% of days peak at force 4 or above at St. Annes Head (2 miles from Dale) and the funneling effect of the Gann valley and local sea breezes often add 1 or 2 forces to the wind strength giving ideal planning conditions for harness, footstraps, speed, slalom and carve gybe techniques. Wave sailing venues are only 10 to 15 minutes away.

The Best Windsurfing In Britain!
West Wales Windsurfing Centre is truly the complete watersports centre with additional attractions in sailing, surfing and all round water sports fun! The centre is set in the beautiful Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, the picturesque sailing village of Dale is a unique place. There is always something happening on the water. It has the buzz of the 'place to be' yet at the same time, on shore is the perfect place to forget about the rest of the world and unwind. It holds the sunshine record for Wales and is one of the sunniest places in mainland Britain. The combination of the safe mile wide bay and the more complex range of wind and tidal conditions out in the main waterway have made Dale well known as one of Britain's best sailing venues.
Projecting out into the warmer waters of the Gulf Stream, the south west corner of Wales has some of the cleanest water and best sailing conditions to be found anywhere off the coast of Britain. Winters are milder here, usually frost free. Spring, early Summer and Autumn provide superb high wind sailing conditions. The coast between Dale and Broad Haven harbours wildlife reserves on land and marine reserves around the offshore islands. Home for seals, dolphins and thousands of seabirds.

Fishing :
Fishing in Pembrokeshire is a local trade, with much of the local economy based on the industry. Being based near to the coast, Redlands Caravan Park is ideally positioned for the keen fisherman or amateur alike. There are an incredible amount of different organised fishing trips from around the county, from deep sea fishing out of Tenby, to inshore pleasure fishing from almost any bay. Bring your own tackle, or leave it at home - it makes no difference - all trips include free rod and line supply.
The best way to fish Pembrokeshire is undoubtedly by talking to the fishermen - persuade them to take you out - and see how to fish the Pembrokeshire way!!
